Underground Dog Fences for Acreage & Rural Properties
Can an underground dog fence work on a larger Methow Valley property?
Yes. Underground dog fences can be designed for larger yards and acreage as well as smaller residential properties. The layout is customized around the areas where you want your dog to have freedom rather than assuming every property is a standard rectangular yard.
Can the boundary cross a driveway or go around areas I want my dog to avoid?

Will an underground dog fence still work through deep snow?
Yes. Snow does not block the radio signal from the buried boundary wire, so the system continues to work even when the ground is covered by deep snow. This makes an underground dog fence a good fit for Methow Valley winters, where snow can remain on the ground for months. As long as the transmitter has power, the boundary wire is intact, and your dog is wearing the receiver collar, the containment boundary remains active throughout the winter.
